Laundry
Located in each residence hall are coin operated washers and dryers available for the convenient use of our residents.
Internet Access
High speed internet access is offered for each student in their room at no additional cost. All campus network usage policies apply and bandwidth may be restricted. Policies covering the use of the residence hall network can be found at: http://www.it.unr.edu/guidelines/. We encourage students to read and know these policies prior to connecting to the network. For more information please visit: http://www.it.unr.edu/network/reshall.asp. Additionally, some vendors such as AT&T and Charter Cable offer high speed internet access for an additional cost.
Telephones
You have the option to get a telephone installed in your room. During the first few days of check-in several local providers will be available for cellular or land-line phones. This information is available at the following Web site: http://www.it.unr.edu/phoneandvideo/students.asp. The university assumes no responsibility for telephone service and it is not part of the license agreement or rate schedule.
Cable
Cable TV is offered through Charter Cable. Charter will provide free cable television for the first two weeks in your residence hall room. During the first few days of check-in to the residence halls this vendor will have a kiosk setup with information about available services: you can also contact them at 775-850-1259 for University of Nevada, Reno residence hall service.
Mail
Residence Hall students have two options for sending and receiving mail on campus:
- Wolf Package is located on the first floor of the Joe Crowley Student Union and offers reasonable rates for mailbox rentals.With their Grand Opening Special the first 600 students who get a 12 month (annual) mailbox rental pay $120 ($10 per month) plus a $10 key deposit. They also offer packaging supplies and shipping through USPS, UPS, and FEDEX. More information can be found at: http://www.wolfpackage.com/
- The US Postal Service does not deliver to the Residence Halls. Located on campus is a United States Post Office where students may rent a post office box by contacting (775) 348-7858.
Packages
The US Postal Service does not deliver to the Residence Halls. Deliveries by major carriers such as UPS, FedEx, Airborne, and DHL may be sent to the Residence Halls. NOTE: Packages will NOT be accepted until the official move in day of the fall semester. Any Packages received before this time will not be accepted and returned to sender. Please refer to the following for addresses to the individual halls.
Addresses
Addresses for the Residence Halls are for receiving deliveries during the check-in period and receipt of packages during the academic year.
