Educational Activities

Our staff strives to make living on campus a memorable experience by providing exciting and diverse educational information and activities for students. The information and experiences we provide vary from bulletin boards to interactive presentations. We offer a variety of programs from traditional programs based on past success as well as brand new programs based on current issues and student need.

  • The Tunnel (An experiential program based on current issues of oppression and discrimination)
  • Tutoring for Math and Science Classes
  • Fire Safety
  • Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Prevention
  • Personal and Property Safety
  • Sexual Assault Prevention
  • Test Your Gaydar (Program on stereotypes and the effects)
  • Diversity Issues Bulleting Boards (Passive information exploring many different issues related to human diversity)
  • Monthly Community Meeting (Information meeting about campus activities, academic success, and current community issues)
  • Safe Trick-or-Treat (A community service event put on for the local elementary school students by residence hall students to provide a safe and fun environment to trick-or-treat)
