Resident Director for Argenta Hall
Hello and welcome to UNR! My name is Jessica Halvorson and I am originally from Twin Lakes, WI. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay with a BA in Humanistic Studies and a minor in Communication and from The University of South Dakota with a MA in Educational Administration with an emphasis in Adult and Higher Education. During my free time, I enjoy keeping in touch with my friends and family across the country, listening to and discovering new music, attending theater productions, concerts, and art shows, and reading many different kinds of books. As the Resident Director of Argenta Hall, I hope to help foster a strong sense of community amongst the residents of the building. Every resident is an important part of this building, and has a part in creating the environment. I hope to help empower students and student leaders in the building to help make the building a home for all. Another goal I have for the building is to have a strong focus on academics. The main reason that students are here are to be successful in their academic careers. By having programs in the halls that focus on developing academic skills and an open environment to discuss concerns and successes that relate to classes, myself and the rest of the Argenta staff can help students be confident as they start on their paths in higher education.
