Resident Director for Nye Hall
My name is Juls White, I was born in Sacramento, CA. but was raised in the greater Seattle, WA. area. I graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre (directing, acting and playwriting) and from Oklahoma State with a Master of Science in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in college student development. When I am not in my office you can often find me hanging out with students, playing board games, at the movies or helping out making coffee (I did mention I was from Seattle right?) at my Church, Living Stones.
My goals for Nye Hall this year include helping students to create an environment that is excited and supportive about learning. We will accomplish this through study groups, tutoring, and programs that encourage academic curiosity. Another goal is to continue Nye Hall's tradition of being a community that is interactive and outgoing. There are many ways to get involved either through the hall council, RHA (Residence Hall Association) or the greater campus. Anything we can do to help develop student leaders within our hall will be one of our top priorities. I can't wait to see the future leaders of tomorrow in action this year!
Nye Hall is a wonderful place to learn what it means to be a member of a community. The staff and I are always here to help you, whether you have a question, a concern or just need a place to chill out. Please feel free to stop by my office on the first floor right next to the elevators ( I have candy and LOVE visitors!!!)
If you have any questions about how to get involved please feel free to email me at jkwhite@unr.edu
