Educational Activities

Our staff strives to make living on campus a memorable experience by providing exciting and diverse educational information and activities for students.  The information and experiences we provide vary from bulletin boards to interactive presentations.  We offer a variety of programs from traditional programs based on past success as well as brand new programs based on current issues and student need. Examples of Programs: The Tunnel (An experiential program based on current issues of oppression and discrimination) Tutoring for Math and Science Classes Fire Safety Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Prevention Personal and Property Safety Sexual Assault Prevention Test Your Gaydar (Program on stereotypes and the effects) Diversity Issues Bulleting Boards (Passive information exploring many different issues related to human diversity) Monthly Community Meeting (Information meeting about campus activities, academic success, and current community issues) Safe Trick-or-Treat (A community service event put on for the local elementary school students by residence hall students to provide a safe and fun environment to trick-or-treat)
