Fall 2008 - Spring 2009 Resident Assistant & Community Assistant Positions Now Available!
The Resident Assistant/Community Assistant student positions are the cornerstone in residential life. They provide the most essential link between the University and their residents. Allowing both parties to excel in their academic success. If you are interested in becoming a leader for the future and becoming proficient in human relations then the Resident Assistant & Community Assistant positions are for you. Some of the duties Resident Assistants and Community Assistant include but are not limited to:
- Advisor and peer counselor to their residents
- Community Development (from personal contact to putting on programs)
- Collaboration with other staff to acheive academic and community standards
- Desk operations
- Responsibility for Safety and Security of their residents
- Crisis Response to Safety and Security (fire alarms, power outages)
- And much more...
Compensation for such duties not only includes hourly pay (when available), but free room and board including a single room in whichever hall you may be assigned and a meal plan as well.
